Modern Nerd: Solved: Gmail, iPad, iPhone, and... →
For a long time I’ve forwarded many email addresses to a single Gmail account, a setup I call Inbox Heaven. It’s great because you get a unified inbox to collect mail from multiple email addresses that you can check on any device. One caveat has been that Mail on the iPhone and iPad won’t let… Handling multiple email aliases from Gmail. Works well for me, iOS 6.

Invitation to Writers
Write to help others! The reason why I started this blog is because this to be a place where all Apple users can come and resolve their Mac, iPhone, iPad and etc issues. The truth is ever since school started, I never had the time to update this blog as frequent I want it to be. And hey I never really bump into any new problems with my Mac. I would like to welcome any like-minded Apple...

Why can't I click and drag in OS X Mountain Lion?
In Mac OS X Lion, click and drag can be done by enabling the drag lock function in Trackpad preference. However, in OS X Mountain lion this drag lock function seems to be missing. But instead this function actually can be enabled through the accessibility panel. To enable it, go to System Preferences > Accessibility > Mouse & Trackpad > Trackpad Options > Enable Dragging More...

Slow PDF Performance in Preview
When viewing some large PDF files in Preview, performance can get pretty sluggish — lags when changing pages, zooming, etc. To speed things up, you can try saving a copy of the PDF file using Preview (File » Save As). In my experience, this usually produces a file that is a few times larger than the original file, but the viewing performance will improve considerably.  via...

minimalmac: When I encounter someone brand new to the Mac, either a new client or someone who reaches out to me via email about switching or having recently done so, this is the text file I send. I thought it would be nice to share this with the world. Perhaps it will be useful to you or those you love. …

Finder: Sidebar Folder Link Can't Be Removed
Problem: The problem began when I realize a shortcut aka alias attached to the sidebar of my Finder did not work anymore. I wanted to remove this dead link. I can’t click and drag the shortcut out of the sidebar as you usually would. Solution: Hold down the “Command” key and drag off the sidebar. This is easy, thanks to the experts over at the Apple Support.

Alert Notes for iPhone: write it down and it... →
minimalmac: In case you did not already know, I’m a huge fan of apps that can understand plain English, parse it, and turn it into meaningful and appropriate action. I have been since experiencing it first on the Apple Newton with the Assist feature. Alert Notes does this very thing and does so rather well. I have had the pleasure of being a part of the beta test team and I can say that the...
